Preface

This meeting was announced by Mike Sweet. Since Mike was unable to attend we did not convene, but we discussed several topics (recorded below). These minutes were prepared by Ira McDonald.

- RFC 3805 revision topic (Paul, Ira)
  - Ira explained that RFC 3805 kept states and units inside base MIB
    and put types (like supplies) in IANA Printer MIB

  - Ira recommends we leave RFC 3805 alone

  - Ira recommends we use RFC Errata path for typos as they are found

  - Ira recommends we develop a Printer MIB FAQ (need volunteers)
    - e.g., explain interop issues between RFC 1759 and RFC 3805
      (new clients, old printers, missing expected "required" objects)

    - e.g., explain interop issues for post-RFC 3805 registrations
      (old clients, new printers, SNMP client errors/crashes)

(2) Discuss April F2F scheduling w/ Open Printing Summit and Easter holiday weekend

- April 2012 PWG F2F originally scheduled for 4-6 April (Easter week)

- Previous week in March is IETF meeting (Jerry)

- Second week of April is not good (due to Easter Sunday travel day)

- Third week of April is consensus

- Ira sent note to PWG SC proposing:
  PWG - Mon-Wed 16-18 April 2012
  OPS - Wed-Fri 18-20 April 2012

- Ira sent a separate private note to Till K and Glen P w/ same proposal
  - asking for discretion until we have PWG SC feedback

- Mike is checking on possible Apple hosting of OP Summit

ACTION: The PWG Chair and working group chairs need to make sure that both the Wiki pages are current and accurate, and that the Google calendar is up to date for conference calls.
