- Discussion - Proposed by Ira on SC reflector - Best practices and Requirements informational documents should have durable numbers - Mike, Smith, and Bill voiced their support for this in responses on the SC reflector - Any other document types that should have durable numbers? - No, numbers for registrations aren't necessary because registrations are so small - Linking to a mailing list seems a bit fragile to Smith, but it has worked across four different PWG hosting providers, so the email links should be fine - In the long run, it would be nice if the policy handling registrations would be to scoop up loose registrations into a specification. - Is there an SMI MIB maintenance practice that we could adapt to our own processes? - IANA Printer MIB already supports registrations (Mike/Ira are Designated Experts) - How to approve new policy? - Update in the "policy on namespaces" (document numbering) that SC has yet to approve - see link above - Should 3D focused documents be in their own number space? - 3D numbering is going to be important for their reuse - Should we also or instead add a "3D Printing Standards and Documents" tab or list of documents in the 3D Printing page? - There are already two (IPP 3D Printing Extensions v1.1 and 3D PJT v1.0) - No action on Smith's wishes for a different naming structure (smile)ACTION: 07/01/19 - Smith / Ira to update policy on namespaces and add in numbers for Best Practices and Requirements documents, and REVIEW and GET APPROVED by the PWG SC ASAP

- Discussion - INCITS liaison agreement draft filled out and signed by Smith - passed on to Jessica (ISTO) for review who noted the dues owed (membership agreement, because INCITS doesn't *have* a separate liaison agreement) - ISTO will NOT sign this - Jessica suggested proposing the existing PWG Liaison template to INCITS - Signing an INCITS liaison agreement would allow Paul to report more broadly within the PWG and allow the PWG to provide formal feedback to INCITS - Upcoming events - Thursday 18 July 2019 - 3DHEALS - bioprinting - in Boston, MA - Paul attending - They need IPP 3D but they haven't realized it yet... - September 2019 - NIST meeting in Gaithersburg MD - concrete? - 21-22 November 2019 - 1st Int'l Conference on 3D Printing & Transportation - Wash, DC - Transportation Research Board (high precision manufacturing) - 6-8 July 2020 - Digital Concrete 2020 - Eindhoven University, Netherlands - https://digitalconcrete2020.com/ - Paul's Attendance at 3D meetings for PWG - Driven both by PR reasons (evangelization) and technical engagement and reporting - PR at the 3D events - Get some of the "IPP 3D" key fobs printed so Paul can sprinkle them all over? - Other sample files for us to create? - Concrete? - File formats - PWG Safe G-Code - 3MF - 4D printing - INCITS liaison agreement would help us keep abreast of this new area and may help inform our engagement
