- Latest CUPS Filters and mobile print status (Till) - https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/ client-1305-printing-stack-with-mobile-in-mind - CUPS Filters v1.0.45 released (Till) - cups-browsed does not require any more that avahi-daemon has to be started before cups-browsed - cups-browsed keeps running when avahi-daemon is stopped and restarted - cups-browsed always picks up avahi-daemon in these cases and recovers discovering the Bonjour broadcasts of remote printers - cups-browsed is absolutely robust against on-demand use of avahi-daemon - cups-browsed can be made automatically terminating if it is not needed any more - in auto-shutdown mode it terminates a given timeout (default 30 sec) after there is no cups-browsed-generated local print queue any more (= no cups-browsed-discovered remote printer any more) - auto-shutdown mode can be activated by command line option, signal to the daemon, or env variable and it can also be set so that auto-termination only happens when avahi-daemon is stopped - Currently working on making cupsd robust against stopping and starting avahi-daemon (Till)
